Amethyst currently operates four radiotherapy clinics for cancer treatment in Romania, in Bucharest, Cluj, Alba-Iulia and Timisoara.

Bucharest
Established in September 2012, our Bucharest center has been dedicated to serving patients across Romania and neighbouring countries, including Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova. Over the years, we have provided medical consultations and treatments to more than 8,000 patients.
Amethyst Bucharest is the first Amethyst Centre in Europe, and the largest radiation-oncology center in Romania, specialising in comprehensive cancer care.
Patients receive comprehensive treatments (radiotherapy combined with systemically active substances) as well as support care, such as nutritional and psychological support. All patients are treated on an outpatient basis.

Cluj-Napoca
The Amethyst Healthcare Centre in Cluj became operational in October 2014.
Together with our Bucharest, and Timisoara centres, Amethyst Cluj specialises in the stereotactic radiotherapy technique, the latest and most efficient radiotherapy technique.
The Amethyst Cluj Centre offers chemotherapy, radiotherapy, brachytherapy services as well as nutritional and psychological support.
The radiotherapy area is located on the ground floor of the building where two Synergy / Infinity linear accelerators (from Elekta manufacturer), are used for external radiation treatments.

Timisoara
The centre opened in July 2021, at Timisoara (in the western part of Romania) providing ambulatory treatment for all cancer types patients.
This center is very similar to the Cluj center, with Radiotherapy Department equipped with BigBore Phillips CT, 2 mirrored ELEKTA LINACS providing VMAT/IMRT 6/10 MV with Agility fast MLC and a Medical Oncology Department functioning as Day Unit Hospital.
Nutrition and psychological support will be provided in the center.

Alba-Iulia
The Amethyst Healthcare Centre in Alba-Iulia is the 4th centre to open in Romania, in December 2021, in a modern clinic.
Together with the centres in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, the Amethyst Alba-Iulia centre offers one of the newest and most modern radiotherapy techniques for cancer treatment, namely the IMRT-VMAT treatment technique.
